Hello there, and welcome to the Maddox Family Home Page! This page is about me and my fourteen year old daughter, Cindy. I've posted a few of my poems (nothing earth-shaking, just some thoughts I've had that I've written down), some stories about our dog Rudo, a couple of sure-fire recipes, links to other sites Cindy and me like, a few chuckles scattered along the way (like the one on the right), and my 'Musings', which are my thoughts on what's going on in our life. So get yourself a cup of coffee or a glass of soda, put your feet up, and take a look around! Read our Guestbook! |
A rhinoceros walked into a bar, sat on a stool, and asked for a drink. "What'll you have?" the bartender asked, wiping a glass. The rhinoceros thought about it a moment, then said, "Give me a Dewar's White Label, please. On the rocks." The bartender brought over the scotch. He thought to himself, a rhinoceros can't be very smart, so I can probably charge him whatever I want to. Swabbing the bar counter with a white cloth he said, "That'll be twenty dollars." Sure enough, the rhinoceros paid up without any complaint. While the rhinoceros drank his scotch, the bartender watched the people going by outside on the sidewalk. Feeling he should make some conversation with the rhinoceros, he said, "We don't get too many rhinoceroses in here." The rhinoceros put down his drink. "I'm not surprised," he said, "at twenty dollars a shot!" |
