We have won driving down the street girl crossing hair blowing sideways exposing her forehead a store sign big blocky letters shoes down a sidestreet on the sidewalk old man sitting on a rider mower listen to the airplane in your head we have won one of the last ones arrives at work hey everybody showed up early today used to see some people in the cities walking with one shoulder lower than the other shoulder no more there will be a new type of apartment soon the sun breaks through the clouds as it always does nobody notices anymore it's the way it should be the ice is piling up in the ice makers from before because no one uses ice any more we have won.
